Six Hormones enhance your Athletic Flow to be “in the zone.”

Soul - Oxytocin-GLA & Serotonin
Body - Adrenaline & Endorphins
Mind - Anandamide & Dopamine

While the Warrior athlete runs on body-related adrenaline hormone and the Become the Warrior athlete runs on mind-related dopamine hormone, both types of athletes share the same athletic drive from the heart-related (soul) hormone known as Oxytocin-GLA.

While oxytocin is better known as a social “love” hormone produced in the brain by the hypothalamus that creates a social bond for the love of others, recent discoveries have found two other forms of oxytocin that create both a love of self and a love of life.

Love of Others
Love of Self
Love of Life

The “love of self” (oxytocin-GLA) is produced by the heart, which not only enhances cardiovascular healing properties but also reduces inflammation and stimulates stem cell activity. And the good news keeps coming as the release of oxytocin-gla produces a feedforward process. As the heart produces and releases its own oxytocin, this stimulates the release of more and more oxytocin-GLA, creating an even higher sense for the “love for self.”

The “love of life” version of oxytocin is produced directly in the intestinal epithelium of the gut lining. This local release is influenced by the overall health of your gut bacteria and, in turn, the overall health of you. This highly symbiotic relationship creates an even greater sense for the “love of life.”

If one of these three forms of oxytocin is not functioning properly, the other two decrease as well. But for athletic purposes, since it starts with heart (and soul), Oxytocin-GLA provides the largest athletic performance boost.

With Oxytocin-GLA…

Good adrenaline goes up
Heart rate goes down
Attention goes up
Cognition goes up
Aging slows down
Strive and Thrive
Oxygen intake increases
Fear goes away
Intuition improves
Blood flow improves
Improves oxygen intake
Fearless change
Love of self - Happiness

Without

Bad adrenaline goes up
Heart rate goes up
Attention goes down
Cognition goes down
Aging speeds up
Fight or Flight
Oxygen intake decreases
Fear shows up
Intuition turns off
Blood pressure goes up
Compromises oxygen intake
Fear of change

Day 26: Athletic Flow covers the genetic do's and don’ts of all six flow hormones, what they do for your athletic performance, and how to increase the production and use of each one.

Day 26 will also clear up one of the biggest athletic myths…

Old science myth: Endorphins are responsible for the “runner’s high” sensation.
New science fact: Anandamide’s brain bliss is responsible for the “runner’s high.”

By the end of Day 26, you will have learned the what, how, and why of all six athletic flow hormones…

Soul- Oxytocin Love of others, self, and life
Soul- Serotonin Soulfulness
Body- Adrenaline To jump
Body- Endorphins To breathe your own blood
Mind- Dopamine Reward for being well
Mind- Anandamide The high for life
