‘We’ve got to do something’: DC Aquatics Club has found an unusual home in the south river

Members of the DC Aquatics transplanted to a quiet street in Hillsmere and the open water, after group member and world record holder Jerry Frentsos opened his home to his teammates so that they could have a place to train during the pandemic.

JERRY FRENTsOS BREAKS 20th Masters World record at albatross open

55-year-old Jerry Frentsos broke his 20th Masters world record competing at the SCM Albatross Open on the final day of February, knocking off the men’s 55-59 mark in the 200 IM.

Pair of masters world records set at 2020 igla championships

Jerry Frentsos from the District of Columbia Aquatics Club was one of the swimmers to lower a FINA world record. Frentsos has now broken a world record in six different age groups spanning four decades.

Jerry frentsos continues to live - and write - his swimming dream

Jerry Frentsos has the distinct – and somewhat still disappointing – honor of being a member of a very select swimming fraternity.

More than 30 years ago at the 1988 Olympic Trials, the former University of Florida swimmer finished third in the 400 individual medley to miss earning a spot on the team headed to Seoul, South Korea.
